BRETT BUNNELL, SPEAKER

Brett Bunnell is a corporate attorney and startup advisor based in the Bay Area. He is a Partner at Cole-Frieman & Mallon LLP in February 2025, where he advises domestic and international founders and business clients ranging from early-stage startups to established middle-market companies, and he advises the investment funds (big and small) that invest in such companies. His practice focuses on the entire lifecycle of a business, including a formation, restructuring, fundraising, hiring, data privacy, and mergers and acquisitions, along with his real estate practice. Brett has a particular expertise in digital assets/crypto, asset protection, fintech, and software/SaaS sectors. Brett holds a J.D. from the University of Cincinnati College of Law and a B.A. in History from the University of Akron. He has also served as a board member of the East Bay Homeowners Association and as an executive committee member for Create The Future Summit, which is a deep-tech conference (e.g. AI, digital assets, robotics, quantum computing, etc.) that
will be held on August 14, 2025 in San Francisco.
TONY RISHELL, MODERATOR

Tony Rishell, CCIM, CPM, is a real estate wealth strategist who helps families and their advisors integrate complex real estate holdings into multi-generational financial, estate, and succession plans. With a background in institutional trust real estate asset management and family office consulting, he specializes in increasing cash flow, resolving conflicts, and aligning real estate strategy with broader legacy goals. Prior to launching his private practice in 2024, Tony managed commercial and residential real estate portfolios at Wells Fargo Trust and spent two decades leading his own family’s businesses. He holds a B.A. in Philosophy from Saint Mary’s College of California and currently serves as President of the CCIM NorCal Chapter.
